Energy-Efficient Holiday House - Casa Tropical by Chemarim Architects
Chemarim Architects is a Portuguese company that designed this vacation home Mundaú beach, north-eastern Brazil. It is designed to make owners closer to nature, but to protect them against the warm seasons and rainfall. 50% of the total area of the house is a wooden gallery to open skin around the three floors of the house. There are 3 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 2 kitchens in the house. Almost everything could be reached by the gallery. The open roof is where the fusion of coconut trees, dunes and the sea could be considered together. Although the house is large enough lack of air conditioning, solar and wind energy generation and collection and filtering drinking water from the roof to home as possible, energy efficient.
