130-Year-Old Minimalist Apartment Renovation With industrial features
Architect Anne Sophie Goneau remodeled this 130 years flat save original architectural features and creating a completely new space in a minimalist style with industrial touches. She highlighted the red brick wall in the living room naked leaving and protecting the quality behind the glass museum. The original building steel beam was left exposed, but mitigated with gray, fireproof paint. It runs along the apartment, delimiting the passage area. A hydronic radiant system was installed in a new slab of concrete floor above the old foundation. An original wall of hemlock wood Clads the hallway to the bathroom. This apartment is an example of creating a fresh modern space catchy preserving old features.
