These two semi-detached houses are located in the central Avenue North Williams, Portland. Their footprint is very small so they make more living space by moving vertically. The shape of the houses is simple cube with windows with dark skin smooth cedar. The interior of each house consists of two separate spatial orders. The first is a series of six parts, staggered every half story, and smoothly connected by a series of half flight stairs forming an open floor plan changed. White oak floors, velvety white woodwork and light walls are components and materials that were used in interior decoration. These "wet" rooms define the second spatial order and are placed at the center of the open floor plan as a series of stacked pieces. In addition to all these homes have a big city and the mountains thanks to their height. [Atelier Waechter]
